Gemotions

The house was too quiet. The silence pressed in on her, suffocating. The divorce had been brutal, the aftermath a series of endless legal battles. She felt as though she was walking through a swamp, each step a struggle. She found the time capsule on the edge of her property, a metal cylinder half-rotted by the elements. It brought a strange sense of unease.

Inside, a collection of letters. Letters addressed to "My Future Self." Each one detailed dreams and aspirations, now shattered, or altered beyond recognition. Tears welled in her eyes. The past seemed to mock her, a constant reminder of everything she had lost. Her breath came in short, shallow gasps.
