Clara felt a cold wave wash over her. At the art fair, the man had approached her booth, smiling, charming. He'd claimed to admire her “Urban Reflections” series. Now, she saw the truth. A mirror image of her most prized piece, rendered permanently on his leg.

Her breath hitched in her throat. She gripped the edge of her table, knuckles white. The friendly facade she’d carefully constructed crumbled.
