Gemotions

The letter arrived in the morning mail. A simple photograph enclosed. The image hit Theo with the force of a physical blow. A man, unknown to him, sporting a tattoo of his "Whispering Woods" painting across his entire back.

He tossed the letter aside, his hands shaking. He felt a sudden, sharp pain in his chest, as if something inside had broken. He walked aimlessly around his apartment.

He had to do something. But what? The helplessness settled over him like a suffocating shroud. He sat down, burying his face in his hands.
