"No, no, no, no." Sarah repeated the words like a mantra. Her fingers flew across the screen, furiously refreshing the webpage. The article, the one she'd poured her heart into, was there, but the byline read 'David Chen.'

A cold sweat slicked her skin. She felt a burning sensation in her chest, as though something was trying to claw its way out. Her breath came in ragged gasps. She knew she should call someone, but her fingers refused to move.

She stood abruptly, pacing the small apartment. The walls seemed to close in, and she felt suffocated. What was this? She had spent months working on this, and now, it was gone. Stolen. She needed to get out, to think.
