The phone slipped from his grasp, clattering onto the hardwood floor. *Lisa Thompson*. He stared at the screen, the image of his childhood tormentor mocking him. His stomach clenched. The room spun. He felt an intense urge to rip it all apart, to destroy everything.

He crouched down, retrieving his phone, his hand trembling. He pressed the power button, plunging the screen into darkness. He didn't want to see it, to think about it.

He slumped against the wall, his head in his hands. He wished he could rewind time. He wanted to go back to when he was innocent. He didn't want to have to deal with this.
