Gemotions

Her voice caught in her throat as she heard the news. She felt a sudden, sharp pain in her temples. The carefully chosen playlist, the custom-made banners…all rendered useless. She needed to move, to do something, anything to distract herself.

She rose from the chair and began pacing, her steps erratic. The air in the room felt thick, heavy, and hard to breathe. She clutched the phone, her knuckles turning white.

She suddenly felt hot, as though she had been thrust into a furnace. She just wanted it to be a bad dream. This couldn't be true.
