Gemotions

The house had a history, a dark one. They'd been warned, but ignored the whispers. He was trying to fix a leaky pipe in the basement. He'd been moving some old storage boxes. He discovered a loose brick. He pulled it out, revealing a hollow space.

Behind the brick was a metal door. It was heavy, and cold to the touch. He fumbled with the handle, twisting it. It didn't budge. He then heard a sound. A faint scratching from the other side. A cold dread seeped into his bones.

He tried the handle again. This time it opened. A gust of fetid air escaped. He hesitated, his body frozen in place. Then, he stepped inside.
