A chill snaked its way up David's spine, leaving him shivering despite the summer heat. The details of the rival patent were chillingly familiar. His mouth went dry. He felt a need to argue, to fight, but the words wouldn't come. He pushed himself away from the table, pacing back and forth. His steps were erratic. His hands were clenched into tight fists.
