"Did you ever go swimming at Camp Blue Lake, Olivia?" James asked, leaning back in his chair. Olivia froze, her fingers still hovering over her keyboard. Her shoulders tensed. She swallowed hard, her eyes darting around the office as if searching for an escape route.

The words "Camp Blue Lake" hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. The air conditioner hummed loudly, its cool air doing nothing to quell the sudden heat rising in her face. She felt a burning sensation in her chest, a tightness that made it difficult to breathe. “No,” she said quickly, her voice barely a whisper. “I… I don’t think so.”
