Gemotions

Her vision swam, a kaleidoscope of blurry shapes and indistinct forms. Her stomach lurched, threatening to betray her composure. The waiting room decor, usually innocuous, now seemed menacing, a suffocating display of forced tranquility. She felt the urge to scream, to lash out, to do anything but remain still. This was a nightmare. This whole situation was a horrifying mistake. She wanted to disappear. The appointment was with Greg Henderson, her childhood tormentor.

She thought of the years of therapy, the deep work she needed to do to get better. It was the only way to heal, she knew. She also knew that this was the most difficult thing she'd ever had to do.

The door opened. She could only stare, speechless.
