The world was tilting. Light and shadow danced in her vision, and she felt a pressure building behind her eyes. Her ears were ringing, and the blood pounded in her temples. She could barely focus on the magazine in her lap. She felt like she was suffocating, trapped in a cage. The appointment was with Robert Sterling. Robert Sterling. The thought was paralyzing.

She wanted to vanish, to rewind time, to erase this entire situation. The memory of the bullying was vivid, but the thought of living with her current problems was worse. She needed to do this.
