Gemotions

Mr. Olsen found the package at his front door as he was getting ready to leave for school. Inside was a replica of a school project from years ago, a model of a human heart. The card simply said, "We'll be connected forever." The handwriting was familiar, but he couldn't quite place it.

He staggered backward, his breath catching in his throat. He felt lightheaded, disoriented. He slammed the door and leaned against it, his vision swimming.

He grabbed his phone, trying to make sense of what was happening. He didn’t know what to do.
