He stumbled back, bumping into a sculpture. A flush spread across his face, and his heart hammered against his ribs. It was his work, "Fractured Echoes", the piece he had poured all his anguish into, the piece he buried away for being too raw. He knew the client had signed a confidentiality agreement. He fumbled with his phone, his fingers clumsy as he tried to dial. He felt a desperate need to escape, to vanish, to rewind time before the fateful moment. He needed to find out who was responsible.
