Gemotions

The first drawing was a blur of colors, a mess of crayons that made no sense until he focused. Then, the realization struck him. A tall, thin figure with eyes that seemed to follow his every movement. It was him, the friend from his youth, the one he swore he'd left behind.

He couldn't meet his sister's eyes. He felt a rising sense of unease, a tightening in his chest. He took to locking the front door, even when he was home. He started taking the long way around on his daily walks. He checked over his shoulder at every turn.

He spent the next few days in a fog of disbelief. The memory of his childhood companion seemed to fill his head, almost consuming him. The drawings were always there, and so was the feeling of being hunted.
