Gemotions

The screen seemed to blur. For Susan, it was from Karen, who had relentlessly ostracized her in junior high. Susan felt a coldness spread through her. The request seemed to whisper malice.

She threw her phone down and went and sat in the center of her living room. Every shadow seemed to move. She ran her hands down her arms as if trying to soothe herself.

She slowly began to get up, and quickly ran from room to room, locking every window and door. Then she sat in the dark, barely breathing.
