"Are you sure you're feeling alright?" Liam asked, his voice laced with concern. Amelia flinched, her hand flying to her chest. It was a reflex, a reaction to an unseen threat.

They were at a crowded concert, the music a roaring cacophony that did little to soothe her frazzled nerves. It had started with a subtle shift, a nagging feeling that things weren't as they seemed. A shared inside joke that now felt... wrong. The way his phone buzzed at odd hours. The fleeting glances at his watch.

She scanned the crowd, her eyes darting from face to face. It felt as if everyone knew something she didn't. The music, the lights, the swirling mass of people – all conspired to make her feel trapped, confined.
