Gemotions

The phone rang. He jumped. He grabbed it but didn't speak. He listened. Silence. He hung up. He knew someone was watching him.

The feeling intensified as the day wore on. He pulled down the blinds. He refused to eat the food in the fridge, suspecting it might be poisoned. He watched his sister.

He felt the walls closing in, the air growing thin. The house was a trap, and he was its prisoner. He considered leaving, but where could he go?

He sat in the living room, listening to the silence, waiting for something, anything, to happen. He wanted to go outside.
