He scanned the street, every face a threat. He imagined the owner of the wallet, a vengeful figure, a man with connections, tracking him down. The silence in the abandoned parking garage amplified his unease.

He felt the sweat trickle down his spine. The air felt thick, heavy, as though pressing down on him. He considered leaving the city, disappearing entirely. He realized that this money, this unexpected fortune, was a burden, not a blessing.
