Gemotions

The news of the patent was a blow. Then came the phone call, offering to purchase his research. The voice on the other end was too smooth, too persuasive.

He started sleeping on the floor, away from the windows. He stopped using his computer, fearing he was being tracked. He felt as if his very thoughts were being monitored.

He drove to the mountains, seeking escape. But even there, the vast, empty landscape offered no solace. The sun was hot on his face. He felt exposed, vulnerable, forever pursued.
