Gemotions

The feeling had been building for weeks, this prickling sensation on the back of his neck, this nagging sense of unease. It was the neighbor's dog. Every time the dog escaped, the feeling grew.

He started keeping the curtains drawn during the day. He began checking his car for tampering, scouring the undercarriage, peering into the shadows beneath the vehicle.

He was sure the dog's escape was intentional. He was being watched, monitored. The dog was the eyes, the ears, the advance guard. He was sure he was right.
