The world narrowed to a point. Maya saw that her physics teacher, Mrs. Johnson, was following her. She felt a wave of nausea.

She began to question every interaction she had with the teacher. She started avoiding her, ducking into the bathroom when she saw her in the hall. It was as if she was walking in a minefield, constantly expecting to step on something that would make things worse.

She became extremely careful with her answers in class. The equations, once a source of fascination, now held a new level of difficulty because of the feeling of being watched. Her breathing was uneven, her thoughts racing. The world, once spacious, had shrunk down to the space between her and her teacher.
