Gemotions

He was certain his professors knew. He saw them watching him, their eyes lingering a moment longer than necessary. He braced himself for criticism, for judgment. He was convinced they were discussing him in the faculty lounge. He started to avoid them, skipping office hours, staying away from any activity where his vulnerability could be exposed. He imagined the conversations, the knowing glances, the hushed tones. He avoided eye contact, and he lost all his confidence in the course.
