The bell above the door chimed, announcing yet another customer. Inside, Leo surveyed the cluttered rows, a familiar calmness washing over him. The search had become almost meditative.

He closed his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath and relishing the quiet before opening his eyes to the jewelry cases. He began his methodical hunt. He did not rush, and he did not hurry. His pulse slowed.

The shop owner, a man whose face seemed permanently etched in lines of weariness, watched him with a neutral expression. Leo barely noticed. He had time. Plenty of time.
