The dog bounded ahead, yipping happily as Liam emerged, ready for their daily walk in the park. But the car, usually parked just outside the front door, was gone. He stopped, looking at the empty space. He ruffled the dog's ears, and then let out a breath.

He checked the notes on the car; a large, neon-yellow sticker explained the situation. He sighed softly and dialed the number. The man on the phone confirmed the mistake, promising an urgent correction. He stayed calm.

He took the dog on their walk. The leaves crunched underfoot. The park felt lovely. The breeze felt lovely. He would deal with the car, later.
