The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the small teacher's lounge. Ms. Ramirez, nursing her second cup, glanced at the clock. The end of the day was inching closer, and she had a stack of worksheets to prepare. A rhythmic tapping interrupted her thoughts.

It was a student, a former pupil, standing hesitantly by the doorway. He held a brightly colored ceramic mug. "Hi, Ms. Ramirez. I, uh, wanted to give you this." He fidgeted.

She accepted the gift, the warmth of the mug seeping into her skin. Inside was a small packet of her favorite tea, Earl Grey. He'd been a quiet student, often withdrawn. The mug was painted with vibrant flowers, a complete contrast to his usual demeanor.
