"Well, now," Arthur murmured to himself, examining the tarnished metal box he had just pulled from the ground. He took a long, steady breath, the crisp air clearing his head. The discovery, made during the renovation of his family's old home, stirred a feeling deep inside him that he welcomed. He set the box on the workbench. It felt good to not hurry.

He spent the next few hours meticulously cleaning and cataloging the contents: a handful of marbles, a collection of foreign coins, and a small, leather-bound book. He carefully read each page of the book. The stories inside were charming and whimsical, perfectly matched to the other items. Tomorrow, he would begin researching the origin of the time capsule, but for now, he would stay right where he was.
