The sound of the ocean waves crashing against the shore was a constant background for Sophia as she sat on the beach. She watched the sun sink towards the horizon, painting the sky with brilliant hues of orange and pink. The soft sand was warm beneath her bare feet. The breeze blew and cooled her face. She felt a lightness within her.
