The sun's golden rays streamed through the windows, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Mark felt relaxed; he'd had a good run earlier. Now, he felt the urge to start clearing the attic.

The attic smelled of dry wood and decay. He discovered a box, hidden behind a stack of old newspapers. He lifted the lid, his curiosity piqued.
