Gemotions

The soft patter of rain against the windowpane filled the study with a soothing rhythm. The smell of old books filled Oliver's senses. He sat in the large, leather armchair, a steaming mug of cocoa warming his hands. He watched the rain.

He had spent the entire day unpacking, arranging furniture, and discovering the little oddities of his new home. He leaned back into the chair, the soft leather molding around him. He felt himself sinking into a sea of relaxation. The worries of his life seemed to drift away.

He rose and walked towards the bookshelves. He reached out and tugged at a book. The action caused a different shelf to shift. The section of wall behind the shelf, now exposed, revealed a small, hidden room.
