Gemotions

The warm water enveloped Elena, melting away the day's tension. She sank further into the tub, letting the lavender-scented steam cloud her senses. A soft glow from the candles flickered on the bathroom walls, reflecting in the glossy surfaces. Her breathing was slow and steady. She was awaiting the arrival of David, to share a bottle of wine and simply be together. The silence of the house was broken only by the gentle sound of the water lapping against the porcelain. She felt… centered.

A knock. She wrapped herself in a towel and padded to the door. Standing there was a man she'd seen before, but not with David.

“Are you… expecting someone?” Elena asked, bewildered.

The man's brow furrowed. “Actually, yeah. And I think we both are.”
