Gemotions

The soft light of the evening cast long shadows across the garden. Clara sat on a wooden bench, watching the fireflies dance. It was also her friend, Hannah's birthday. Hannah was holding a large gathering, but Clara craved a more solitary experience.

She had prepared a simple meal for herself: a salad, some fruit, a glass of wine. As she finished it, a sense of contentedness flowed over her.
