Gemotions

The scent of lavender wafted from the small sachet in David’s pocket. It had been his grandmother’s, a habit he'd adopted since her passing. The retirement party loomed, and the thought of standing in front of everyone had usually set his teeth on edge. Today, however, felt different.

He slowly strolled through the park, taking in the vibrant colors of the autumn leaves. The gentle crunch of fallen leaves beneath his feet was a welcome grounding sensation. The crisp air invigorated his lungs.

He smiled, remembering the old stories his father used to tell. They made him laugh. He was ready to share them. The words would come.
