Gemotions

From his desk, Daniel observed the nervous energy that was now coursing through the office. He leaned back in his chair, fingers interlaced behind his head, and breathed deeply. The fresh scent of the new air freshener filled his lungs.

The prospect of the promotion, usually a source of anxiety, now felt… distant. The internal pressures had seemingly receded. A gentle calmness filled the inner spaces.

He imagined the gentle sway of the leaves outside and the clear sound of the wind, and it anchored him.
