The steady rhythm of the train tracks beneath the carriage lulled Elena into a drowsy state. The landscape blurred past, a tapestry of green fields and rolling hills. She gazed out the window, mesmerized.

She had been visiting her aunt, and was going through some boxes of her belongings. She found an envelope containing a single sheet of paper. "Resignation of Position - Sales Manager," the heading read. It was in her aunt's own hand.

She reread the letter, considering its contents. Her aunt had been such a lively person, always moving at such a pace. It was strange seeing this side of her.
