Gemotions

The scent of pine needles and damp earth filled the air as David wandered through the forest. The sunlight dappled through the leaves, creating shifting patterns of light and shadow on the forest floor. He felt the weight of his backpack on his shoulders, but it was not a burden.

He had been helping his mother clear out some boxes from the attic. Inside one of them, he found the letter. It was titled "Resignation - Software Development Company".

He pictured his mother, her face, her determination. He imagined her in her youth, finding this role in the first place, and then deciding to leave it. He felt deeply connected to her.
