The morning sun, a warm hand, brushed across Amelia's face as she sat on her porch swing. A gentle breeze danced through the leaves of her own oak, a comforting whisper. She was lost in the quiet rhythm of the day, the slow rocking of the swing a lullaby. Suddenly, a monstrous CRACK! shattered the serenity. The sound, like a giant's bone snapping, ripped through the stillness. She straightened, eyes widening, and saw the aftermath next door: a colossal tree, uprooted, sprawled across their yard.
