Gemotions

The weight of the clay in my hands, the feel of it yielding under my fingers, was soothing. I worked, lost in the simple act of creation, the mundane world fading away as my project took shape. Outside, a gentle breeze rustled through the leaves of the trees. The world was quiet.

A text message. From a local artist. It read, "You won't believe this."

I replied, "Try me."

She sent a picture of her own work. The same design. Same medium. Same concept.

I blinked, taking a deep breath. A smile tugged at my lips. "Well," I said to myself, the word a gentle whisper. "This is a twist."
