Gemotions

I hummed softly as I watered my plants, the fine spray of water cooling my skin. The air was still, heavy with the scent of jasmine. My mind was empty, a blank canvas upon which the day's events could gently settle. I felt a sense of calm, a gentle hum within me.

A frantic hammering startled me. It was Mr. Chen, his face flushed with annoyance. “The noise! The noise!” he shouted. I, perplexed, explained that I was simply tending to my garden. He insisted that there was a loud thumping coming from my apartment.
