Rain pattered softly against the attic window as Daniel sat amongst the dust-covered boxes, sifting through his mother's belongings. His hand rested on a small notebook, its cover faded with age. This, he knew, was the bucket list.

He flipped the notebook open, his eyes scanning the elegant script. *Take a pottery class.* He saw her in the studio, her hands covered in clay, her face alight with concentration. A soft, internal stillness settled over him.

*Visit a botanical garden.* Daniel closed his eyes, imagining the vibrant colours and fragrant blooms. He felt his shoulders relax, his breath deepening. It was as if a weight he didn't know he was carrying had been lifted.
