Gemotions

The aroma of baking bread hung in the air as Thomas kneaded the dough, his hands moving with practiced ease. The kitchen was a sanctuary, warm and filled with the scent of spices. A friend knocked on his door, their voice filled with worry. “Did you hear about the university?” Thomas nodded, not breaking his rhythm. He glanced at the window, the sun casting its rays on the dough. He continued to knead the dough, feeling the satisfying give of the gluten. He added some more flour and smiled at how all was well.
