The scent of lavender from the bath oil still clung to Clara's skin. She’d just finished drying her hair and was ready to begin her evening routine. It was Friday, and after a long week, she was ready to relax. A knock at the door. Her eyes widened. A bouquet of vibrant tulips, a mix of colors she adored, sat waiting for her. Absolutely no clue who sent them.

She placed the tulips on her kitchen island. She went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of wine. Pouring a glass, she watched the sun fade and the colors of the flowers deepen in the twilight. She felt a lightness in her chest, a sense of well-being that seemed to emanate from the blooms themselves.
