The gentle rhythm of the waves lapping against the shore was the only sound that pierced through the early morning. Finn sat on the sand, watching the sunrise paint the sky in hues of orange and gold. The air was cool and crisp against his skin. A delivery person had just given him a bouquet of wildflowers, tied with a simple ribbon. No name attached.

He placed the flowers beside him. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and let the beauty of the moment wash over him. He felt his shoulders drop, his jaw relaxed. He was completely present, completely still, perfectly fine in that instance.
