“Oh, wow,” Clara whispered, her voice barely audible. She was sitting in the middle of her mother's small study, surrounded by piles of paper. It felt like a small, quiet hurricane had just exploded in the room. The box, labeled "Treasures," revealed a treasure trove of her mother’s childhood.

She picked up a book report on *Little Women*, noticing a series of red marks correcting her mother's writing. A strange feeling, both curiosity and unease, bubbled up inside of her. Her mother had always been so private. These papers felt like a key to a locked room.
