Clara felt a sickening lurch in her stomach as she reviewed her latest prescription refill. The medication was for diabetes. She didn’t have diabetes. She hadn't been in the last few months either.

She reread the label, squinting as if it would magically transform the words into something else. The pharmacist's handwriting, usually a familiar comfort, felt like a cruel joke. The label belonged to someone else. The pharmacy was supposed to check this stuff.

The world seemed to sharpen into focus, but nothing seemed to make sense. She needed to speak to someone. She needed answers. She felt a burning need to stop things, before the medication found its way into her system.
