The notice taped to his desk was brief and impersonal: "Transfer to the IT Support team. Please see Mr. Henderson for orientation." He reread it, squinting. His jaw tightened. He'd never even opened a computer tower, let alone troubleshoot one. He was a sales representative, a people person. He knew how to close a deal, not fix a motherboard.

He felt a sudden, inexplicable itch on his palm. His mind raced, imagining the technical challenges ahead, the cryptic error messages, the endless hours spent staring at a screen. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to make sense of the situation, but his thoughts were a scrambled mess.
