The silence of the afternoon was shattered by a sudden, sharp rapping at the door. Lily rushed to answer, assuming it was a delivery. No one was there. However, on the ground, lay an unsigned birthday card, face up. A vibrant image of fireworks exploding across the sky.

She picked it up, her hands trembling slightly. Her name and address were printed on the front. She didn't recognize the handwriting. It wasn't even her birthday month.
