He paced the cramped confines of his apartment. The air was thick with the smell of stale coffee and unwashed laundry. The wallet, a weight in his pocket, felt like a physical burden. He ran a hand over his stubbled chin, his mind a whirlwind of possibilities.

He had never seen so much money in his life. He felt both exhilarated and trapped. He knew he should turn it in, but the temptation, the allure of freedom, was strong. He felt his hands begin to sweat.

He stopped pacing and looked out the window, at the street below. He needed air. He needed a plan. He had to decide quickly.
