The position of the small, carved wooden frog that always sat atop his journal was different. It was now turned at an angle, as though moved in haste. A feeling of dread washed over Arthur. He felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead.

His roommate, Greg, was listening to music with his headphones on, oblivious to Arthur's turmoil. Arthur stared at the journal, an overwhelming sense of violation flooding him. He felt the air thicken around him, and a profound desire for solitude. He needed to get away.
