David felt a cold prickle at the back of his neck as he saw the notification: "Ms. Garcia is now following you." He sat, stock-still, at his desk, staring at the screen. Ms. Garcia taught art, and he’d always been a little intimidated by her. She was a known perfectionist.

His Instagram feed was filled with half-finished sketches, candid shots of his friends, and the occasional meme. Nothing he considered particularly outstanding. Yet, the thought of her judging his artistic sensibilities from afar was… unsettling. He found himself rearranging the pens on his desk, meticulously separating the colors.

He wondered if she'd seen the post where he complained about her critique of his still life. He felt the blood drain from his face. He had to take it down.
