Gemotions

The flyer felt cold and impersonal in her hands. She ran a finger over the slick surface of the paper, the glossy image of a renovated lobby mocking her. She had always found comfort in the history of her apartment, in the worn floors and the creaky stairs.

She sat down on her bed, her back stiff. The idea of leaving, of having to find a new place, felt overwhelming. Where would she go? How would she even begin?

She felt a wave of fatigue wash over her, a deep and unyielding weariness. The familiar objects in her room, once a source of comfort, now seemed to observe her with a detached curiosity.
